DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
The Department of Commerce was started in the year 1971.Since its Inception it has been one of the largest departments of Government Degree College, Tekkali
In the B.com( General) course, the students are taught core subjects relating to accounting and taxation such as Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting ,Cost and Management Accounting, Business Statistics, Income-Tax ,Indirect Taxes and other key subjects like Business Economics, Business Environment, Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
The department offers two courses namely, B.Com( General) and B.Com( Vocational).Both the courses are spread over a period of six semesters.
In the fifth and sixth semesters the students have an option to choose papers of their interest from the elective papers group.
In the B.Com (Vocational )course, the students are taught core subjects relating to Accounting, Web Technology, office automation tools and e-commerce. Sound knowledge of accounting along with Information Technology places the students at an advantages position in the job market.
